Shameless Season 7 Episode 11 Review: Happily Ever After

Bye, Monica Gallagher.

Yes, you guys, Monica's life came to an end on Shameless Season 7 Episode 11. Her death went down pretty much as anyone could have expected.

After telling Frank just weeks ago that she did not have long left, she quickly set out to try and make things right with her nearest and dearest.

An Interesting Proposal - Shameless

In true Monica fashion, she spoke her mind and continued to get into extravagant heists with Frank.

It was a great farewell run for the character who has appeared sporadically through the run of the show.

There was absolutely no way she was going to get all of the Gallagher children back on good terms with her.

Lip and Fiona had witnessed too much of the bad things she did over the years. It seemed like the marriage was just a huge sham in order to bring the clan together one last time.

I am glad Fiona and Lip eventually joined the festivities, but I'm bummed Ian didn't manage to make it home for the party.

He was way too busy trying to find a way to make things work with Mickey.

Frank: All I had to do was pull out and you would have never been born.
Fiona: You were too high to pull out.

The seed of doubt about his life on the run with Mickey came when the first police car passed them.

The reaction on Ian's face said it all. This was not the life he envisioned for himself.

He managed to pick up the pieces when Mickey went to jail and has actually landed pretty well on his feet with his EMT job.

He could have easily chosen a life on the run, but that would not have been true to his character.

Ian: No, you gotta... it's the other-
Mickey: Do I tell you about EMT shit? Leave the god damn stealing to the experts.

For everyone who wanted Gallavich to be a thing, it really sucks they have gone their separate ways, but it's the best... for now.

I can't even begin to imagine how badly affected Ian is going to be by his mother's death.

Could it send him back to Mickey? Sure. Could it send him off the rails? One hundred percent.

There's pretty much no way he is not going to feel guilty for not returning for the vow renewal... if that's what you want to call it.

Ian was not the only one who was making big decisions. His older sister, Fiona, was struggling with what to do in the aftermath of selling the laundromat.

Any way you look at it, it was a great business investment for her. Walking out with double what you paid for the place after such a short time is nothing to be ashamed of.

shameless 711

However, I feel like she should have kept Etta in the Gallagher home.

If it was not for Etta she would not have even had the opportunity to make that sort of profit.

Looking after anyone is hard work, but I definitely think she would have been happier in Casa De Gallagher. It would be a shame if this was the last we've seen of her.

Fiona carving out a career in property development was pretty much a given, but would she really take another loan out against the house?

Yes, it worked for her the first time, but somehow, I think she's getting ahead of herself.

It was great she got to rub her success in Lip's face. He has been horrible to her for far too long.

Any idea to success she ever comes up with is always met with a terrible response from him.

This place is a shit hole.

Etta

At least now he has knitting to occupy himself with. I can't be the only one getting tired of him.

"Happily Ever After" was a solid episode that set the wheels in motion for what could be the series finale.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to the best family on TV, so I hope something can be worked out for at least one more season.

Stray Thoughts:

  • The Mickey/Ian plot felt way out of place in the episode. It would have been better if they got a whole episode to themselves.
  • Etta telling Fiona how bad her house looked was HILARIOUS.
  • Kevin's actually pretty good at his new job, but would V really allow him to get hand jobs for cash?
  • Mickey sure seemed taken aback when Ian revealed he had savings. Did he seem to think he worked for free?
  • Debbie being the one to put Lip on blast seemed a little too random.

Over to you, Shameless fanatics! What did you think of Monica's death? Was Ian right to let Mickey head to Mexico alone? Sound off below!

Did Monica and Frank manage to get married before it was too late?

That was a key question on Shameless Season 7 Episode 11 when the pair realized Monica did not have long to live.

Meanwhile on this hit drama series, Debbie decided to play the adult with Lip when she realized his life was spiraling out of control.

Also, Ian and Mickey left a trail of terror as they headed for Mexico.

Did Shameless tie things up a little too well?

Monica's death brought the Gallagher family together on Shameless Season 7 Episode 12 as they tried to decide how she would be laid to rest.

Fiona just wanted the whole thing to be over with. Deep down, it's clear that Fiona blames Monica for making her life a living hell every time she showed up. Fiona has spent most of her life looking after her siblings and even her father.

Dealing With Grief - Shameless

Monica's death irked Fiona because she knew there was no way she was ever going to be relieved of her motherly duties to her siblings.

It sucks, but that's Fiona's life, and it has been for all of those years. Fiona hitting Monica's lifeless corpse was her way of venting her frustration about Monica bringing all of the children into the world without even looking after them.

Funeral Director: Have you had a chance to consider what sort of arrangements you'd like to make for your loved one?
Fiona: Yeah, how do we get her into the ground as soon as possible?

Put yourself in Fiona's situation. If Monica had not been hooked on drugs and alcohol, maybe she could have looked after her kids and not left it to other people.

Heck, if she had her head screwed on there would probably not be as many Gallaghers out there. Fiona has gone through a lot during her seven-year run on the show, but I'm thankful we know Emmy Rossum is returning for Shameless Season 8.

Fiona: What can you give me for $500 or less?
Funeral Director: A cardboard refrigerator box and a gallon of gasoline in our parking lot out back.
Fiona: I'll take that one.
Funeral Director: No love lost, huh?
Fiona: It was an eventful childhood.

While it would be good to give the other actors time to shine, Fiona is just so integral to the show that it would be odd without her. Other characters, like Carl and Liam, can disappear for a handful of episodes at a time, but Fiona could not.

Fiona may have been dealt a bad hand being a Gallagher, but you can't say she's not making the best of her life. Making a profit on the laundromat helped her move over to property.

Buying the building seemed a little premature. Ryan seemed so eager to get her to make her sign on the dotted line that I think there's going to be something seriously wrong with what Fiona bought and no way to actually turn a profit.

Maybe that will pave the way for Lip to chant to Fiona about her poor decisions. I can't believe Lip was on board with keeping the meth.

I mean, who the heck dies and decides to leave their kids meth? That's such a Gallagher thing to do, right? Fiona knew what could go wrong, and I'm glad she stuck to her guns and stayed on the straight and narrow.

Somehow, the whole meth plot will probably play a part during Shameless Season 8. Frank was hilarious as ever as he tried to explain the features and benefits of the meth to his family.

I genuinely thought, by the end of the episode, that Frank would have a new outlook on life, but instead, all he wanted to do was get Carl to spray paint Monica's name on a wall while they shared a bottle of beer.

It was very reminiscent of Shameless Season 4 Episode 12. The father and son have had a strained relationship in recent years, but it seems like they are finally getting back their strong bond.

Carl being in the military has definitely changed him for the better. It was clear he was going to be making breakfast as soon as walked down the street with the ALDI bag.

It's crazy to think this is the kid who was poisoning his cousin a few years back. Like the rest of his siblings, he could have turned to drink and drugs, but after a few missteps, he's back on track.

The most shocking development for me was how well Ian handled Monica's death. Out of all the siblings, he's always seemed the closest to his mother.

shameless 712

That said, it was absolutely terrible of him to run back to Trevor after leaving Mickey behind. I'm glad Trevor gave him the cold shoulder.

He has a whole lot of groveling to do before Trevor would ever entertain the idea of getting back into a relationship with him.

"Requiem for a Slut" was Shameless at its finest. It was a poignant hour full of emotional drama, but the end result was great. It showed just how far these characters have come since Shameless Season 1, while paving the way for an exciting change next season.

Other tidbits from the episode:

  • I totally wanted Lip and Mandy to be endgame, but Sierra has really won me over. Ruby Modine is an excellent actress, and I hope she becomes a series regular. Sierra still has a lot of story left to tell, and it should be explored.
  • Carl grabbing the gate while it was closing put him right in view of the camera, so expect the DEA to come looking for him whenever the show returns.
  • Did anyone else want some resolution with Svetlana stealing the bar? It's not the type of storyline I'm going to care about after a long break. Svetlana is a breath of fresh air, but if Isidora Goreshter has to leave the show for Kev and V to get the bar back, I'd be okay with that.
  • Debbie becoming a welder was one of the more shocking developments. In fact, the whole montage was freaking awesome. It's clear there was a chance the show was not returning and the finale was crafted in a way that worked as both a series and season ender.
  • Will Joan Cusack ever return? We need to know what's going on with Sheila. It's been far too long.
  • The characters breaking the fourth wall at the end credits was a fresh way to end the season.
  • Monica's father was a hoot. Why the heck did it take so long to get him on the show?

What did Monica leave behind for the Gallagher children?

That was the main concern on Shameless Season 7 Episode 12 when it emerged that she had died, but had some belongings her family did not know about.

Meanwhile on this hit drama series, Carl returned from the military a changed man, shocking all of his siblings to the core.

Also, Fiona weighed up her options when a new opportunity presented itself.

Who doesn't love to laugh?

These shows make us laugh so much, we've had to consider investing in some adult diapers. Yes, we can admit it.

Now it's your turn to tell us if you agree with our choices, or if you'd rather nominate another for the Golden Diaper Award.

Click Here to Vote >>> The Golden Diaper Award

And don't forget about our other awards:

The Speedster Award

The Gilded Bullshirt Award

The Perpetual Ocular Rotation Award

The Golden Fanny Award

And keep coming back. Up tomorrow we'll be voting on shows passed over for awards love and love from viewers. Be here!

1. Ash vs Evil Dead

Ash vs evil dead
Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi really put their heart and soul into Ash vs Evil Dead. It is the perfect blend of horror and comedy, and it is simply unlike any other show on television. If you put every quip, zinger and sly remark that came spewing out of Ash's mouth into a compilation video, you better be wearing an adult diaper!

2. Now We're Talking

Now were talking
I'm going to go way out in left field with this one and nominate Now We're Talking on go90. It was a little series with just nine episodes but it was hilarious from start to finish. And Tommy Dewey is a comedy god.

3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn nine nine
From the impeccable cold-opens to the numerous character quirks, Brooklyn Nine-Nine brings it every week. The ensemble cast works together like a well-oiled machine, and every character has just enough crazy to have me convulsing in laughter at any given time. Also, Andre Braugher's diction and perfect deadpan delivery should get an award all its own.

4. black-ish

Black ish
black-ish is not just one of the smartest explorations of cultural perspectives, but it's also one of the most hilarious family comedies on television in a very long time. Even while the characters clash on how they see the world, they're all just so nutty! Diane's sociopathy, Jack's cluelessness, Junior's nerdiness, Bow's insecurities and Dre's discussions with his colleagues, there is ALWAYS something to bring tears of laughter to your eyes. I love this show!

5. The Librarians

The librarians
The Librarians is consistently entertaining, chock-full of witty dialogue and unapologetic homages to movies and series from Indiana Jones to Star Trek. While not a comedy in the strictest sense, you can always count on The Librarians to turn the snark up to eleven – and save the world at the same time.

6. Odd Mom Out

Odd mom out
Odd Mom Out is comic gold. I couldn't be more unlike Jill Kargman, creator and star, who portrays Jill, who married into a wealthy family on the upper east side of Manhattan. She's dark, pale, Jewish, hilarious and a mom. Yet she's so darn relatable and does all the thing you can imagine yourself doing in her same place. I laugh more watching her antics than any other show on TV. Whether she's conned into riding an exercycle in a marathon, wearing the ugliest dress as a bridesmaid or on edge because she dropped red wine last year during the holiday at her mother-in-laws in her all white apartment, Jill does it all without class and in the most endearing way possible. Bravo!!

Shameless: Renewed for Season 8!

The Gallaghers are not going anywhere.

If you thought the conclusion to Shameless Season 7 closed things up for the Gallaghers a little too well, you can rest assured that the Showtime series will be back.

Dealing With Grief - Shameless

Shameless has been picked up for Season 8, with 12 new episodes set to debut Fall 2017.

That's quite the wait for fans, but at least we got two seasons of the show in 2016!

The renewal was expected to be announced earlier, but Showtime opted to wait until all of the cast members were signed on for the new season before pulling the trigger on a renewal.

The Homeless Shelter - Shameless

It was revealed recently that Emmy Rossum was seeking salary parity with William H. Macy, with the star taking to Twitter late last week to confirm that a deal had been struck for her to continue with the show.

Would the show really be able to survive without Fiona?

The original version continued on for 9 more seasons after Fiona left, so possibly.

Shameless Season 7 Poster

If you watch Shameless online, you probably know there were a lot of changes in store for the Gallaghers this year and it wound up being the highest-rated yet.

The series continues to be a delight, with characters and storylines that are relatable.

The Cost - Shameless

The show has never lost its humor.

Managing that feat after all these years on the air is no easy task.

It should be intriguing to see where the Gallaghers go next year.

Shameless Season 7 Episode 12 seemed to imply that every single one of them was moving on with their lives, with Debbie becoming a welder, Ian returning to being an EMT, Fiona buying a bunch of apartments and even Lip, who seemingly patched his relationship up with Sierra.

The odd thing was that the Svetlana stealing the pub plot seemed to just disappear. It would have made sense for Kev and V to run through a revenge plan to at least try and get it back.

Either way, we'll need to stay tuned when the show returns to find out who screws up first.

Over to you, Shameless fanatics. Are you happy with the renewal?

1. Rectify

Rectify
Rectify is one of the most throughful, powerful shows on television, and it deserves so much more attention than it gets. Aden Young as Daniel Holden consistently delivers incredible performances, along with all of the other actors on the show. It truly is a buried treasure.

2. Better Call Saul

Better call saul
Jonathan Banks, AKA Mike from Better Call Saul. He is a master of understated emotion. He can do more with an eyebrow raise, a disgusted sigh, or a grunt than most actors can do in years of work.

3. Chicago Med

Chicago med
I really got sold on Colin Donnell this season. I loved what he was able to do on Chicago Med, and then when I went back and watched his work on Arrow and The Affair I was dumbfounded. I actually feel guilty that I didn't know who this guy was until now.

4. Agents of SHIELD

Agents of shield
It blows my mind how Agents of SHIELD is constantly overlooked in the Stunt Coordination category of the Emmys. The fight scenes are stellar, and I don't understand how they don't get nominations for that amazing work.

5. Bates Motel

Bates motel
Bates Motel is consistently overlooked and it's a shame. Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore knock every scene out of the park. Season 4 was perfection from start to finish, and despite knowing how this story was going to play out, the (SPOILER ALERT) death of Norma still came as an emotional shock.

6. Younger

Younger
Younger is an extremely smarrt comedy with some very talented people on board, so it surprises me nobody has taken note. Miriam Shor is probably one of the funniest women in the business, and her delivery should definitely be recognized. The story has gotten quite complex, and the innuendos can be out of this world. Where is the love??

1. Luke and Lorelei - Gilmore Girls

Luke and lorelei gilmore girls
Luke and Lorelei from Gilmore Girls have been through so much together. Nearly a decade later with the revival series, they're still together and still willing to work on their relationship. The best part? We finally get to see them get married, and it's done beautifully.

2. Randall and Beth Pearson - This Is Us

Randall and beth pearson this is us
Randall and Beth Pearson are my new favorite couple on TV. This Is Us has managed to create two generations of happy couples, but Randall and Beth have one of the most authentic, relatable and sexy 'ships on the small screen. It took no time at all to buy into them and the way they support each other. Sterling K Brown and Susan Kelechi Watson make me believe in love through their portray of happily married Randall and Beth.

3. Nina Shore and Will Halstead - Chicago Med

Nina shore and will halstead chicago med
I'm going to give this to Shorestead (Nina Shore and Will Halstead) over on Chicago Med. I know Manstead is the endgame here and I'm cool with that, but I honestly love Shorestead for how it gave us more of Nina and made Will stop acting like a douche. So I'm on both teams here and I'm totally fine with that.

4. Luke Cage and Claire Temple - Luke Cage

Luke cage and claire temple luke cage
Luke Cage and Claire Temple. Listen, as much as I loved Jessica Jones (and I know their history in the comics), you will never convince me that Jessica is a better partner for Luke than Claire is. Claire's got a good head on her shoulders, she's determined and driven, she's supportive, and she can be a friend as well as a partner to Luke. Luke and Claire bring out the best in each other. I don't know how the continuation of this universe is going to address Jessica vs Claire, but I'm rooting for Claire all the way.

5. Roger and Trish Murtaugh - Lethal Weapon

Roger and trish murtaugh lethal weapon
Roger and Trish Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon. Can anyone say #MarriageGoals? They're the perfect couple. They're oh so lovable and who wouldn't want to be a part of the Murtaugh family? She's a badass attorney whom he worships like the goddess that she is, and he's a good-hearted detective whose heart will remain so as long as he follows her strict health regimen for him. They have a loving, supportive, and healthy marriage, and these days it's refreshing to see that on television. Plus, they both took one look at at a broken and grieving Riggs, and instantly welcomed him into their family as one of their own. Goals. All the goals.

6. Juliette and Avery - Nashville

Juliette and avery nashville
Juliette and Avery, Nashville. Their relationship has been built in such an honest, real way. They slowly and tentatively became friends even though he knew she was a bitch and she didn’t trust anyone. He stood by her through a sex scandal with a married man, infidelity, a surprise pregnancy, and now, postpartum depression. She’s hard to love and yet, he never gives up on her. I’ll also never forget their first encounter wayyy back in the Pilot. Avery was walking with his then girlfriend, Scarlett, and he bumps into Juliet and apologizes to which she awesomely replies, “We should do it again sometime, only slower.” Javery forever.

Fa la la la la, la la la laaaaaa!

Tis the season for us to dig into our gift bags and deliver, to our loyal and new readers alike, the best wishes we can bestow upon fellow TV Fanatics.

These are the types of presents that may have come only once in a lifetime. You may have already enjoyed them, or some may be completely new to you.

Hopefully, you'll find something in this sack Santa carries directly from us to you that you can experience for the first time.

May your days be bright, your holidays light and while with family and friends you unite (I couldn't resist).

1. A Gift of Sports Night from Brittany Frederick

A gift of sports night from brittany frederick
My eternal wish in life is that everyone watches Sports Night. So I would give that show to the world and let us experience its awesomeness over again. Because it's still the best show I've ever seen, and yet apparently a bunch of people think Aaron Sorkin started in TV with The West Wing.

2. A Gift of Science Fiction from Ron Gilmer

A gift of science fiction from ron gilmer
I would go back in time and fix the timeline so everyone could be hap-oh, scratch that.

I wish everyone could feel the joy I felt from watching The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits as a kid. Everyone has seen them a gazillion times, but seeing them for the 1st time as a kid opened my mind to science and a whole new way of thinking.

3. Some Vintage Doctor Who from Leila Jutton

Some vintage doctor who from leila jutton
I wish everyone could experience the weird cocktail of emotions induced by the greatest Doctor Who Christmas special of all time: Voyage of the Damned, also known as The One with Kylie Minogue on the Space Titanic. Most of the episode is a giddy, goofy disaster adventure against the backdrop of the holidays; think the sheer ridiculousness of The Poseidon Adventure, but with David Tennant and Kylie flirting their pants off the whole time. But, the episode then surprises you – as the best episodes of Doctor Who usually do – with an ending that serves an emotional sucker-punch straight to the heart. The only show that ever makes me cry is Doctor Who, and this episode is one of the saddest, while somehow also one of the most fun!

4. A Comic Classic from Jack Ori

A comic classic from jack ori
I would love for the Jack Benny Program to be available for everyone to watch. It's my absolute favorite classic series and not enough people have any idea what it was like.

5. Two 90's Teen Gifts from Miranda Wicker

Two 90 s teen gifts from miranda wicker
I would give everyone Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dawson's Creek, two shows that hooked me on the idea of watching TV with a critical eye instead of just for enjoyment.

6. A Little Leverage from Jasmine Blu

A little leverage from jasmine blu
I would gift everyone the pure joy of watching Leverage. TV Fanatic aside, there are only a handful of shows that I can watch over and over again and love every bit as much as I did the first time I watched it. Leverage is at the top of that list. When I'm having a bad day or I just need to smile, enter this merry band of non-law-abiding misfits making this cold, cruel, awful world a better place. Not only do the world's greatest mastermind, grifter, hitter, hacker, and thief become a family, but they sort of become part of yours too. The world could use more Leverage.

Shameless Season 8: When Does It Premiere?

In 2016, we were graced with not one, but two seasons of Shameless.

So, we understand if your 2017 has lacked Shameless.

Thankfully, we now know when the series will return, and it's not too far away.

November 5th is the big premiere date, and we're already counting down the days.

Who can resist spending one hour each week with the dysfunctional family that is the Gallaghers?

If you watch Shameless online, you will know that we last left the characters at fascinating points in their lives.

Fiona had signed a deal to buy an apartment block and was gearing up to start an exciting new chapter for herself.

Debbie had finally enrolled in her studies and took on a welding class, proving that she did not want to wind up like her father.

Lip reached a point in his life in which he knew something had to give, so he continued to attend his AA classes.

Ian was back in the swing of things working at a traffic accident.

Then there was Carl, who had returned after a spell away from the family and was spray painting a wall in honor of his deceased mother.

In short, it closed up a lot of the story. But as we said, it left them at interesting points in their lives.

We never got much in the way of what happened with Svetlana, Kev and V. Did Svetlana get her marching orders?

Have a look at the full video below which finds the cast members reacting to the many tweets asking when Shameless will return.

15 Characters On Borrowed Time

As we head into the 2017-2018 season, we can't help but question which characters will not make it out of the new season alive.

Some characters are slam dunks to be killed off, and part of the reason for that is because some of the outlandish things they have done in previous seasons.

Others, however, it's a murkier case and could come down to how well they've been utilized.

Have a look below at 15 characters who are on borrowed time.

1. Rowan - Scandal

Papa pope means business scandal season 4 episode 22
Rowan deserved to die several years ago. He's always one step ahead of the characters and tries to manipulate them to do whatever he wants them to. With Scandal entering its final season, it's time to take him out for good.

2. Cersei - Game of Thrones

Whats her plan game of thrones s7e7
Cersei has double-crossed just about everyone in Westeros, but turning on her brother-lover, Jaime, will be her ultimate undoing. Look for Jaime to land the fatal blow to kill his sister on Game of Thrones Season 8.

3. Angela - Mr. Robot

A surprise acquaintance mr robot
Angela proved to be quite resourceful during Mr. Robot Season 2, but with Dark Army gearing up to wipe people out, Angela seems like the most likely candidate to cover its tracks.

4. Frank - How To Get Away With Murder

Meet frank how to get away with murder season 2 episode 6
Frank was a problematic character on How to Get Away with Murder Season 3. It was almost like the writers did not know what to do with him. He may be back in good graces with Annalise and her gang, but that's not to say he will live much longer. How to Get Away with Murder loves to kill people off, but just who will be the one to commit the crime?

5. Diana - Empire

Diana empire
Diana and her family waging war on the Lyons was not a good move. The moment Lucious regains his memories, he is going to return to his gang mentality ways and take her and her family out.

6. Curtis - Arrow

Curtis arrow
Curtis becoming a superhero was one of the most widely criticised parts of Arrow Season 5. Considering Lian Yu blew up with Team Arrow on it, the most likely candidate to die could and should be Curtis.

Roseanne Revival Adds Shameless Star in Key Role

The Roseanne revival will be getting a little shameless when it debuts next year.

Emma Kenney has starred on all eight seasons of the thrilling Showtime drama as Debbie Gallagher, and it looks like she's ready to leave that role behind and move on to newer things.

Emma Kenney Attends Kerry Washington Event

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kenney has landed the role of Harris, Darlene and David's daughter on the ABC sequel series, which is slated to bow in midseason 2018.

Harris was first introduced in Season 9 of the original series which was on the air from 1998-1997. In the new series, Harris has been moved from Chicago to Lanford, Ill.

According to the report, "her choices from clothes to friends should represent her drive to move up the socioeconomic ladder."

Emma Kenney

Harris is not Darlene and David's only child who is set to appear on the new series.

Ames McNamara will take on the role of Mark.

Former series stars Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Gilbert (Darlene), Michael Fishman (DJ), Lecy Goranson (Becky) and Sarah Chalke (who also played Becky but is returning for a new role) are confirmed to return for the reboot.

It is thought that Kenney will appear as a series regular for the entirety of Shameless Season 8, which will debut November 5. It's unclear what that means for her future on Shameless.

Emma Kenney Attends Maybelline Event

There have been rumblings that the end is near for the hit series, but there has been no official confirmation from the premium cable network.

If Roseanne emerges as a success and both shows get additional seasons, there is every possibility that Kenney could leave Shameless behind.

13 TV Sex Scenes We Can NEVER Unsee!

$

On-screen sex is supposed to be sexy. It's supposed to put you in a mood and set your heart afire.

Unfortunately, not all TV sex does that. Sometimes TV sex is so bad it makes you cringe.

Here are 13 sex scenes we wish we never saw!

1. Daddy's Girl - Empire

Daddys girl empire
Hakeem has had some strange bedfellows. It's clear he enjoys older women (Camilla, anyone?), but sleeping with your dad's ex-wife is taking it a little far. Sure, Anika planned the whole thing out in her sick little mind to punish Lucius, but however you look at it, it's enough to make our skin crawl. To make it even weirder, Anika got pregnant with Hakeem's baby then ended up remarrying Lucius! The Lyons are just great, aren't they?

2. One Man Job - American Horror Story

One man job american horror story
Ben couldn't help but crave Moira's sexy little body. It was the maid's uniform that pushed him over the edge. Every time he saw her he wanted to jump her bones. She was such the tease. When he couldn't stand it anymore, he did what any sane man would do, he pleasured himself. He didn't seem to enjoy it and neither did we.

3. The Creation - Preacher

The creation preacher
Preacher tested the limits of good taste on "Dirty Little Secrets" which featured a cold open of Jesus romping in the sack with a random woman. We could live with the idea of Jesus having sex, but being subjected to several minutes of Jesus and the woman moaning and moving in ecstasy only reminded us of those uncomfortable moments when you heard your parents having sex in the other room. It's something we will never recover from!

4. Back Door Man - Girls

Back door man girls
Girls was full of uncomfortable sex scenes, but one of the first was Adam and Hannah's first time together. Adam mistakenly thinking they were going to have anal sex was bad enough, but the scene reached its peak when Adam insisted Hannah stay quiet as they continued lumbering along. It was the most unromantic sex scene ever, and one that will haunt us forever!

5. Don't Talk - GLOW

Dont talk glow
Ruth deciding to have sex with Debbie's husband was a bad move, but what was worse was, well, everything about this scene. If you're going to go all the way with your best friend's husband at least try to make it enjoyable. Instead, it was awkward when she kept telling the guy to be quiet as she tried to reach her moment of satisfaction. Living dildo, anyone?

6. Cyber Sex - The Big Bang Theory

Cyber sex the big bang theory
When you can't be with the one you love, just do it cyber style. That's what Leonard and Priya attempted after she moved back to India. The idea was grand, the execution? Not so much! Leonard made it awkward by writing down his dirty talk and reading off a piece of paper, all the while trying to look sexy on screen. And while all of this was happening, Sheldon was in the other room shouting out instructions when computer troubles interrupted the fun. The whole thing might have been a laugh a minute, but all we were left with was a pit in the bottom of our stomachs.

13 TV Characters You Do NOT Want Knocking At Your Door

There are some scary TV characters, but not all of them are evil villains.

Some are regular people just like you and me, but they have some serious issues or deal with issues that should send you running. If they come knocking at your door, you know there's a problem.

Here are 13 TV Characters you don't want knocking at your door day or night!

1. Sam and Dean - Supernatural

Sam and dean supernatural
Under any other circumstances having two hotties like Sam and Dean show up at your door would be a dream come true, but we all know what they do for a living. If they're at your door it's probably because there's a monster or ghost that's invaded your neighborhood and is coming for you. Do yourself a favor. Pack up your things and go, but do not answer the door!

2. Norma Bates - Bates Motel

Norma bates bates motel
The minute you see Norma Bates pulling into your driveway, you need to run. You don't need her tears, and you certainly don't want her drama. Once she pulls you in, there will be no escape. You'll be subjected to all her issues and you'll never be able to shake it off no matter how many bottles of wine you consume.

3. Raymond Reddington - The Blacklist

Raymond reddington the blacklist
Red is one of the FBI's most wanted and although he is working with them to bring other bad guys down, there could only be one reason he's come to visit you. You must have something he wants or needs, and if you don't give it to him, you can just kiss everything goodbye. In fact, you might not have a chance anyway even if you do cooperate. Red doesn't play games and if Dembe is joining him, well, just forget life as you know it.

4. Kai - American Horror Story

Kai american horror story
Kai is not the type of person you want visiting you. He's a bit unhinged (okay a lot) and even a short visit won't turn out good. He'll make things messy with his cheese puff-painted face and will make you tear out your hair with his crazy talk, or maybe not! It's best to pretend you're not home and leave the lights off for a while until he goes away for good.

5. Hannibal Lector - Hannibal

Hannibal lector hannibal
There are a number of reasons Hannibal might be making a visit. Perhaps he wants to invite you to dinner or maybe he wants to make you for dinner. Whatever the reason, opening the door for this charmer would be a huge mistake. Once he starts talking, there's no way for you to get out from under his control. You're done for, so don't do it. Just ignore the knock!

6. Father Marcus - The Exorcist

Father marcus the exorcist
Father Marcus is not your friendly neighborhood priest. He's a man with a mission and at the moment his mission is you. There's not much you can do to avoid him. If there's evil he will find it, and he will defeat it. You may have no choice but to open the door, but let's pray you'll never have to.

It's almost time to return to the world of the South Side to catch up with the Gallagher family as they move on from the death of Monica.

For the one-hundredth time, Frank has turned over a new leaf and has turned to Buddhism as a way of coping with the loss of his one true love.

But, that's not to say he has left the drugs behind as we get to see him meditating while out of his face on the drugs.

His main aim is to become a better man and help his family out, and that's actually some solid character progression for him.

The sad thing is that Frank can never really stick to anything, so it's only a matter of time before he does something crazy.

Fiona may have bought a building, but she realizes the hard way that she needs her tenants to be paying her rent if she has any chance of being a success.

That will involve her going to their door and chasing them out of the apartment to ensure she has enough money to scrape by with.

Have a look at the full trailer below and join us in the comments with your thoughts on it.

Shameless Season 8 Episode 1 Review: We Become What We ... Frank!

The Gallaghers are back, and if Shameless Season 8 Episode 1 is anything to go by, they are trying to be better people.

Fiona deciding she was officially over casual sex was a good move. There are too many dangers associated with meeting randoms on the internet for the sole purpose of sex, and with Fiona's career hitting a high, she decided it was time for her to move on.

Swearing Off - Shameless

I love everything about the apartment block. If you watch Shameless online, you will know that Fiona has worked her butt off to get to where she is, and she really deserves to get some good luck.

I'm not entirely sold on the idea of Jessica Szohr's Nessa being her new friend. Despite Fiona's claim that she was not gay, there was evidently some chemistry between the pair. Making Fiona question her sexuality would be a plot that's not been done for the character, but I'm not sure how it would play out.

Veronica: So, no more Tinder?
Fiona: No, V. I'm done with it. No more pointless sex bent over a dirty sink in a club bathroom, scraping my ass on a rusty ally dumpster with my underwear scraped around my ankles.

Nessa's girlfriend will probably go nuclear if she ends up getting closer to Fiona. It always good to be friends with your tenants, but Fiona may run the risk of getting too close to Nessa, and that could result in them falling out.

Jessica Szohr as Nessa - Shameless Season 8 Episode 1

Nessa seems nice enough, but Fiona should probably keep her distance if she wants to keep an element of professionalism in her career. Nessa knows the ins and outs of the apartment block so she could be an asset to Fiona, but she could also be detrimental to the success of the building.

Then there's Debbie, who is continuing her career as a welder. Something drastic needed to be done to bring this character back from the doldrums, but the way she is treating Neil is not okay.

She was way too flirtatious with the guy in the bar who liked her hair a little too much. I get that being busy with work and school can result in a hectic lifestyle, but would it have killed her to stop for a few moments to check in with Neil?

All she seemed to do was throw orders his way. Debbie only got with Neil in the first place because it presented an opportunity for her to get Franny back. There's no real chemistry between Debbie and Neil, and now that Debbie is living her life, she realizes that she wants something more.

Debbie is Back - Shameless Season 8 Episode 1

This is going to end in tears for both of them, and I feel like the storyline could pave the way for the end of Debbie. Emma Kenney has been signed to appear on ABC's Roseanne revival which is slated to debut in 2018.

Obviously, there is every possibility that Emma remained a series regular on Shameless Season 8, but if the show goes beyond this season, there's a very real possibility that there's going to be less from Debbie.

Maybe it's time for the character's journey to come to an end. Out of all the characters, her story is the least exciting nowadays.

Lip pining over Sierra was natural. He wanted to romance her for much of Shameless Season 7, but at the same time, he went off the rails, and that's why Sierra does not want to give him another chance.

She maintained that the only reason she was giving Charlie a second chance was that he was the kid's father, and that shows that she wants to do the best by her kid. However, it was very stupid of Lip to pay her bill for her.

Sierra Hates Lip - Shameless Season 8 Episode 1

He knows she is struggling, but he's putting his feelings out there, and Sierra knows that. Giving the money back for the rehab at the close of the hour came conveniently after Lip realized he stood no shot with Sierra.

He knew fine well that if he had the money, he would continue to spend it on her, and that she would become his replacement for alcohol. Lip has been through it all over the years, so he knows he needs to strive for change or he's going to run the risk of becoming like his father.

Speaking of Frank, there's absolutely no way his new leaf will stick. We've witnessed this man take on multiple personas throughout the years, and while it gives William H. Macy a lot to work with, we've seen it all a little too much.

The way he was parading around the Southside thinking he could make up for all the things he did wrong in the past was very reminiscent of NBC's My Name Is Earl. That show was a delight, and I could do without a rehash of it on a weekly basis.

Frank's New Life - Shameless Season 8 Episode 1

The funny thing about all of it was that Frank is generally off of his face because of drugs, and that proved problematic when he tried to think about all of the crap he has put everyone through.

Thank god the storyline for Frank is not as dull as the one he had on Shameless Season 5. That was around the time his beer making skills blew up poor Sheila's home. That also marked the final appearance of Joan Cusack.

Frank: It came out great, Carl.
Ian: Where the hell have you been?
Frank: Smoked up all my meth, got over your mother and now I'm a new man.

Am I the only one who does not care about Ian getting back in Elliot's good books? As far as I'm concerned, Ian should be glad that Elliot even acknowledges his existence. Sue was right in her assessment that he was an ass.

How could Ian realistically expect Elliot to be waiting around while he ran off and had sex with his ex-boyfriend? Ian is deluded if he thinks Elliot will ever be able to trust him again. While it's clear Elliot cares deeply for Ian, he knows that Ian is not the right man for him.

All of the young men at the home may be enamored by Ian, but Elliot knows what he's really like. It was evident all of the men were talking about Ian based purely on his appearance, and that's actually pretty sad.

You don't know someone based on their appearance. It's what's inside that matters.

I did not expect Kevin to find himself getting tested for cancer. Being Shameless, I expected the whole scene with him getting touched all over by the older man to result in him accepting some more money for some more time.

Now that there's a chance he's going to need some treatment, it will light a fire under Veronica to try and get the family back to the way it was before Svetlana waltzed in and romanced them into signing over their bar.

I had to laugh at Svetlana for turning it into a shrine for Vladimir Putin. That was a typical Svetlana thing to do. Getting to see Veronica have her sent away was satisfying to watch, but I won't rule out some legal loophole allowing Svetlana to remain in the United States.

If this was the end of the storyline, it would have been tacked on to the conclusion of Shameless Season 7. There would have been no need to drag it all the way through the hiatus leaving fans questioning what was going to happen.

So, Svetlana will be back, and she will be taking the offer of them returning to being a throuple off the table. She has connections, and Kev and V should probably think about making their way out of the Southside.

"We Become What We ... Frank!" was an excellent return for the Gallagher clan. It successfully set the wheels in motion for what is sure to be another thrilling season of this Showtime drama series.

Stray thoughts:

  • Having Liam be the token child of color at the school was awful. There was a reason he was given a free ride to the school, and I can't wait to see the family take revenge.
  • Am I the only one jealous of the new hot tub? It's a far cry from that terrible pool they had for years that the homeless people were bathing in.
  • Fiona should probably not speak about having sex with randoms in any of her workplaces. That poor man was only eating his breakfast.
  • Frank blaming Monica for being the person who turned his life to crap was laughable. They were both as bad as each other, and everybody knows it.

Shameless Renewed for Season 9 at Showtime!!!

The Gallaghers are not going anywhere.

Showtime today confirmed it has renewed Shameless for another season just days after Shameless Season 8 kicked off.

Swearing Off - Shameless

The news comes as no surprise when you consider the fact that it launched with its highest-rated premiere since 2013.

“As challenging as it can be for any show simply to maintain viewers in the current TV landscape, Shameless is adding them in droves,” David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime Networks Inc., confirmed in a statement.

“But it’s no mystery why. The series’ reputation for rich and resonant characters and for deep — and deeply twisted — comedy has drawn not only faithful longtime viewers, but a steadily growing audience. And creatively, the season that kicked off this past Sunday is stronger than ever.”

Debbie is Back - Shameless Season 8 Episode 1

Adds showrunner John Wells, “We are so grateful to Showtime for giving us the opportunity to continue making Shameless. It’s a labor of love (and a blast) for all of us.”

While most series on Showtime have been trending downwards, Shameless has remained as a venerable hit and continues to garner critical acclaim.

in Shameless Season 8, the Gallaghers are trying to be the best possible versions of themselves. Emmy Rossum's Fiona is the landlady of an apartment block in an up and coming part of the Southside, while still pulling double duty at Patsy's Diner.

Jessica Szohr as Nessa - Shameless Season 8 Episode 1

William H. Macy's Frank has turned to Buddhism to help say goodbye to his ex-wife Monica, whom he believes is the one responsible for his alcohol and drug-fueled binges.

Lip is trying to stay off the alcohol and drugs, and has a solid support system, Ian is still an EMT, but he's trying to win his scorned ex-boyfriend, Elliot back.

Debbie is training to become a welder, Carl is trying to stay in shape for the military and young Liam is enrolled in a prestigious private school.

Getting Reinstated - Shameless

It all sounds too perfect, right? With this family, it will only be a matter of time before it all comes crashing down and they come together as a family unit to get through it.

Shameless is a remake of the British series of the same name. That series lasted 11 seasons. At the rate Shameless is going, it could easily surpass that.

Over to you, Shameless Fanatics! What do you think of this exciting renewal news?

Shameless Season 8 Episode 2 Review: Where's My Meth?

$

0

Being a landlady may be a good thing for her career, but Fiona learned the hard way on Shameless Season 8 Episode 2 that a good landlady is only as good as the tenants she gets to take up residence.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Nessa was the only one paying her rent on time, and it meant Fiona had to go on the job to get some results. The tenants were even worse than I first thought.

Fiona's New Business Idea - Shameless Season 8 Episode 2

Fiona would be wise to evict everyone aside from Nessa and start afresh. Reeling Debbie in on her plan to serve an eviction notice got the job done, but there will likely be a plot involving one of the tenants suing her.

I'm still getting a vibe that Fiona is going to turn out to be more than friends with Nessa, and it seems like a random direction to take the character of Fiona. All of Fiona's relationships with men have ended in tears, so it would not be surprising if she decided to try dating women.

After hating on Frank's latest redemption arc, I loved it during "Where's My Meth?" Getting a job was a big milestone for him and getting to see him doing everything to make sure he succeeded was pretty great.

Joining the Workforce - Shameless

Every other person in the building wanted to get injured so they could get some easy money, but not Frank. It was difficult to take his claims about Monica being the one to blame for the crazy things going on with him seriously.

But, he's proving viewers wrong and has already managed to secure himself a little promotion. Does that mean he's a good person now? There's no way to tell, but his recent actions have been encouraging.

Wouldn't it be great if he proved everyone wrong and managed to become an upstanding citizen? Hell would probably freeze over before it happened, but time will tell.

Frank Has a Job - Shameless Season 8 Episode 2

Lip getting the drugs delivered with the pizza was a silly move. I thought he was over all of it after Shameless Season 8 Episode 1. It was a good change of pace to have him breaking back into the house to get rid of the drugs.

It's just a shame that seeing Charlie at the meeting made him realize what he did was wrong. It will be interesting to see how Sierra reacts to the news that Lip and Charlie are on good terms.

She has feelings for both of the men, but would she really be able to handle them being civil to each other? That will be an exciting thing to watch over the next few episodes.

At first, I thought Lip's actions were a big step backward for him, but he managed to pull it back in the end and recognized that he was the one in the wrong by putting Charlie in the presence of drugs.

Nothing ever stays a secret on the Southside, so this seems poised to come out just when things seem to be going great between the trio.

I can't be the only one who was shocked to the core with the revelation that the meth was not Monica's. That man appearing in the storage unit was well-executed.

He knows what Carl and Ian look like now, and considering the value of the drugs that have mostly already been sold; he is not going to give up the fight to get all of it back.

Will this provide the perfect moment for Frank to pitch in with some of the money he has earned from work? We need to know the man's connection to Monica before concluding Monica's true motives before she died.

It's surprising she didn't mention him, but with Monica, there's always an ulterior motive, so there's also the possibility that the man was her boyfriend before she passed away.

Kev and V are Back Behind the Bar! - Shameless Season 8 Episode 2

Kev's storyline continued to be a gem. His support group meetings as he prepared for his cancer surgery were fun because we all he loves to make everything fun.

It was great that he and V had the bar back. Everything felt so right about them being back behind the bar, but Svetlana is going to return before long and wreak some more havoc for them.

"Where's My Meth?" was another excellent episode of this Showtime drama. Everything about it was great from start to finish, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us.

What do you think of the episode?
